All publications from Malton London Press are immediately and permanently available online at no cost to readers. Our books are published under Creative Commons licenses, typically CC BY (Attribution) or CC BY-NC (Attribution-NonCommercial).

All books published by Malton London Press are made available in open access digital formats, allowing readers worldwide to read, download, and share content without subscription or paywall barriers.

Licensing and Copyright
Authors publishing with Malton London Press retain full copyright of their work.
All open access titles are published under Creative Commons licences, enabling lawful sharing and reuse while ensuring appropriate attribution to the author(s). The selected licence is agreed with the author(s) at contract stage and clearly stated in each publication.
Book Processing Charges (BPCs)
To support open access publishing while maintaining high editorial and production standards, Malton London Press operates a transparent Book Processing Charge (BPC) model.
Our BPCs:
- Are communicated clearly in advance
- Cover editorial management, peer review coordination, copyediting, design, and digital dissemination
- Include a defined number of print copies for authors
- Involve no hidden fees or post-acceptance charges
Payment of a BPC has no influence on editorial or acceptance decisions.
Editorial Independence and Peer Review
Malton London Press maintains strict separation between financial processes and scholarly evaluation.
All proposals and manuscripts undergo:
- Initial editorial screening
- Academic review by subject specialists
- Revision and quality assurance processes
Acceptance decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, originality, and alignment with the Press scope.
